Free Vector Mascot

Mascots can be hideous like Ronald Macdonald (love that at Logorama lol) or kind of Queer like Mr Clean but also funny like those M&M guys. Whether they are cool or not, they surely ad “personality” to the brand and become the spokesman for the company who use them.

Should all the brands use them? maybe not, Imagine a Microsoft mascot? or a Nytimes one?. Well maybe a good one for the big M would be a IE6 Zoombie or the Blue Screen of death lol.
Well here  you have a very useful yet generic mascot suitable any online business like blogs or any tech related enterprises. I have it done for an unsold template on sitepoint. It didn’t reach the minimum price after a couple of re-listing and I completely forgot him, until I found it buried in my former laptop recently, so I decided to give it for free, instead of selling it sooo cheap :).
Enjoy this geeky mascot.

To be honest, he looks more on professional individual than a geeky one. Maybe it’s because of his smile. But, you’ve created it so nicely.

  2. Oh, I don’t know. I think it’s kind of neat. I could think of several uses. When I post I tend to use a lot of images. I’m sure he’ll come in handy. LOL
    Thanks!

  3. I love Ronald McDonald in Logorama, such a good short film, very happy it won an Oscar. Thanks for the Mascot Mao, very geeky but cool!

  4. So nice of you to give him out for free. Have to agree that mascots are not good for all types of business. However, for businesses that have been around for sometime, may need to remind consumers , ‘”we are still around”‘. In such a case, launching a mascot could act as a reminder to consumers.

    1. @Picntfact3 I agree with you. It is another way to recall the brand presence and stay in the unconscious and lucky to become part of the pop culture.

  5. @Mao, yeah I think he is my brother, because I have square glasses. But I’ll definitely use this as my mascot sometime 🙂

  6. @ Rino
So you also wears tie and long sleeves then match it with reading glasses? LOL
I like the vector. It’s an example of the new generation geek! Unlike before, geeks only hold books and there’s no laptops or PCs that time. 🙂

  7. this is nice. i think having a mascot is great for branding your own company. it gets easier to remember plus when you have a funny mascot then it might get passed around which helps your business to go viral.

  9. I have to say it got to be something really smart and special for people to remember. These days we see so many everyday and forget it the next one. If you take the time to develop and design one, is best to do it with a bang.

  10. Hi Mao, I really love your mascot. Can I use this as a reference sketch for my future client? (Modified the mascot). Please let me know how will I credit you.
    Thanks 🙂

    1. @dancapz sure you can, you should credit the blog any where on the design if can’t you should buy a commercial license w/o attribution 🙂
